DATA SCIENCE

DATA SCIENCE

I'M PATIENCE

My love for digital design began at 13, when I first stumbled across Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Back then, Adobe wasn’t
subscription-based, so downloaded the software and spent countless hours teaching myself how to design. That moment sparked a
passion that’s stayed with me ever since.

Although I ultimately chose to pursue statistics and mathematics in college, design was never far from my life. I continued taking on art

projects and freelance work, blending creativity with analytical thinking. In my senior year, I took a leap of faith and committed to

pursuing product design as a career. I joined a UX fellowship program that allowed me to strengthen both my leadership and design

skills, shadowed a research group to learn rigorous research methods and focus group facilitation, and served as Visibility Director at

NJPIRG—an experience that taught me cross-collaboration and the impact of design in nonprofit spaces.

To fully understand the end-to-end UX process, I conducted a self-initiated case study on Visible by Verizon’s onboarding experience.

With no formal guidance, I combined my statistical and research background, with design practices to create a better experience for

first-time users.

I consider myself a researcher who happens to know design. While I lean a little more toward the creative side, my ultimate goal is to

make data more visually engaging and design more human-centered and data-driven.
